EVALAC25 offers two learning paths—foundational and specialized—designed for national and subnational government officials and development bank staff with varying levels of experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E). Officials from Latin American and Caribbean countries who work in technical areas and have monitoring and evaluation responsibilities. OVE and the organizations that support EVALAC invite and select the participants.
The course has no registration fee. Participants receive partial or full funding to cover travel expenses, according to the criteria established by their supporting organization.
The courses combine theory and practice, and are based on case studies and real experiences from the region. The sessions promote collaborative learning, critical analysis, and application in institutional contexts.
The basic course is taught in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, while the specialized course is offered in Spanish and English. Each participant is assigned to a group according to their language preference and their level of knowledge or experience in monitoring and evaluation. All logistical and pedagogical material will be available in the language in which the course is taught.
Yes. Individuals who attend 100% of the sessions and complete the required activities will receive a certificate of participation issued by the organizers.
No. Each participant will be assigned to a training path according to their professional profile and experience, to ensure a coherent learning process.
The IDB's travel agency or the institution managing your participation in EVALAC will handle the purchase of your airline tickets, based on the information you provide in the EVALAC form or directly to the institution.
Before issuing the tickets, you will be shared flight options for your confirmation.
Flights will be booked in economy class without exception, based on the dates you indicated in the form. Before the tickets are issued, the flight options will be confirmed; if the selected dates differ from those stipulated for EVALAC and generate additional costs, these charges must be covered by you.
Yes. The per diem you will receive from the organization supporting your participation will include the estimated value for the transfer between the airport and the InterContinental Hotel, and vice versa (approximately 15 USD per trip).
· Accommodation at the InterContinental Hotel includes breakfast.
· From Monday to Friday, EVALAC will provide lunch and coffee breaks during the training sessions.
· The closing dinner on Friday, October 17, is also included.
· All other meals must be covered by the participant with the per diem provided.
It depends on the organization that covers your travel expenses. When OVE is the organization supporting your travel expenses, the participant will receive an amount to cover meals not included in the official agenda, and transfers between their home and the airport (round trip) and between the airport and the EVALAC venue (round trip). In the weeks leading up to the event, you will be sent specific instructions on the per diem delivery process.
