COP16, the Biodiversity Conference will be held in Cali, Colombia, from October 21 to November 1. This major event will bring together key stakeholders in the pursuit of greater ambition for biodiversity protection. It presents an excellent opportunity for Latin America and the Caribbean to continue prioritizing biodiversity and contribute to poverty reduction, equitable development, enhanced food security, and the mitigation of environmental risks, all with the goal of improving lives in the region. Latin America and the Caribbean have the potential to become global leaders in providing solutions for the transition to nature-positive economic models.
