Actionable ideas: solutions that unlock private investment

The COVID-19 crisis exacerbated the macro-fiscal vulnerability of most countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, pushing their public debt levels to over 70% of GDP. These circumstances have made it crucial for the private sector to play a more active role and for the public sector to help create a more favorable business environment.

To bring about these conditions, the IDB Group is seeking actionable proposals for enhancing the business environment to generate more private investment in Latin America and the Caribbean.
